Celebrate Life's Achievements with *Bakerdays!

8 June 2018

Whenever there’s a happy occasion, whatever it is marking it is always incomplete without cake. The past month, although has been quite hectic at the same time I have had a lot to celebrate, a family wedding, moving into our new home as well as getting a new job.

So when I was offered free cake right through my letterbox, I couldn’t say no! Bakerdays are an online cake company, they have a rich selection of personalised cakes available ranging in a variety of flavours.

At first, when you think about cake being thrown through your letterbox - alarm bells do begin to ring and you do think whether or not the cake has survived the journey but there was nothing to worry about - there was not even a crack in the icing.

I went through 74 pages of designs as I just couldn’t make up my mind - they were all so beautiful! I finally made up my mind and chose the following design.

This was not actually a congratulations cake but thanks to the personalisation I could have whatever the design from whichever category that would be personalised the way I want - I was quite happily surprised how it turned out to be.

One of the best things on offer is the letterbox cakes that can be delivered right through your letterbox for £14.99. We all know how incredibly annoying it is to stay at home and wait for your parcels to arrive so this is the perfect option to make someone happy or to treat yourself without that added stress of waiting for it.  The cake can serve 4 people but to be honest it really depends on how you cut your slices as I made decent 8 slices out of this.

The husband did pass a comment on the price and size of the cake but I disagreed. If it puts a smile on your face and makes you feel special then so what? Moreover, I really did think it reflects the time and effort put into it, especially because it has that personal touch. And you not only get a cake but a ‘Just for you’ card that would come in handy if you want to send this to someone.

I chose chocolate cake and I was impressed with the taste especially with the sweetness of the icing - certainly a great way to spoil yourself, really. It was everything and more that you imagine a chocolate cake to be.

So, if you have an occasion coming up or perhaps want to treat a loved one who lives faraway, why not treat them to a cake right through their letterbox?

Bakerdays do not only specialise in letterbox cakes, they also have small, medium and large personalised party cakes on offer as well all cuddled with delicious flavours; choclolate chip, traditional sponge, lovely lemon drizzle, fabulous fruit, half chocolate half sponge (for the bigger cakes) as well as catering to your needs if you want your cake to be gluten free or dairy free too!
